📰 Linux News
What happened in Linux today, from the sites worth reading, in one list. No ads, no article text copied: every headline opens the original.
Where this comes from
A small script reads the public feeds of LWN.net, Phoronix, 9to5Linux, It's FOSS, the Ubuntu, Debian and Red Hat blogs, the kernel.org release list, Ubuntu Security Notices and Debian Security Advisories, every few hours. It keeps the headline, the link, the source and the date, and nothing else.
- Duplicates are removed. If two sites run the same story, one row is shown and the other site is listed as "also". The row from the more official source wins (a vendor blog before a news site).
- Not reviewed. Nobody here reads these before they appear, so treat a headline as a pointer, not a fact. Read the original.
- "Subscriber article" is an LWN article that is for paying readers for the first week. The link still works and it becomes free later.
- Security notices are the Ubuntu and Debian advisories (package updates for vulnerabilities). For kernel bugs that are being exploited, with the fix status per Ubuntu release, see the Security tab.
- Prefer a reader? Every site above publishes its own RSS feed. For this site's video guides, use the TechCommune feed.
